2  General / Geopolitical Studies and News / Converter from Tajik cyrillic to Perso_Arabic alphabet on: November 06, 2008, 07:45:04 PM

An R&D team in Tajikistan in the Research Institute of Mathematics of the Tajik Academy of Sciences are developing a converter that allow the text written in tajik cyrillic to be converted into perso-arabic script.

In their website they tell that "inevitable, in the historic context, intimacy of persian-speaking countries would demand the intensification of paper work between them associated with economic, cultural, scientific and technological cooperation, development of uniform legislation, official correspondence, and exchange of scientific and technological information. With further expansion of international telecommunication space, particularly the internet network, the difference in scripts may become a serious restraining factor between the citizens of these (persian speaking) countries..."

3  Entertainment / Music / Nigina - a tajiks singer with a fantastic new style on: September 11, 2008, 07:53:52 PM
fantastic singer - Nigina Amonqulova....

the music and dialect  of northern tajiks - Samarqand, Bokhara, Khojand, also, Istravshan, Isfara, Panjakent, Kand-e Badam (Kanibadam) ....

the music of northern tajiks is very similar to the uygur music of Xingjian of Chiana, and of course uzbek music of Tashkand, Hooqand, and Andijan...

the persian dialect of northern tajiks is something totally different. It differs greatly both from the dialect of southern tajiks (Dushande, Koolab, Qharm) and the dialect coninuum of Afghanistan and Iran....It is too specific and not only the Persians from Iran have difficulties to understand it, but even within Tajikistan southern tajiks sometime can't understand the speech of people from Khojand and Isfara...

just listen to this great music:

I think we should educate Pushtuns - explane that they are Iranians, not Semitic.

7  General / General Discussion / TAJIK BACHA, avazat ra borar! (Rap Patriotic music) on: March 01, 2008, 02:54:28 AM
Dear friends,
Look how Tajik young musicians are doing exactly same what we are doing here, by their way of expresion :). our voices are definitely not a few
in a "bahr-e khamushi". perhaps, we should have millions of supporters among ordinary tajiks.
