Thanks, dear Khurasani!
Great interview, golden words. But renaming of Afghanistan to Khorasan should be first step to creation of Great Khorasan with Tajikistan, Samarqand and Bukhara (misure on kultural and economical levels). We shouldn't forget about these parts of Khorasan.

Basir Kamjo is a great man and the wisest and most experienced proponents of the idea of Khorasan.

I share his ideas totally and prefer his ideas over the federal idea of Dostum loving Pidram.

Basir Kamjo's idea:

'Afghanistan' is an ethnic tribal name and the thus the main obstacle for the unity of the ALL the citizens of that land. The application of the term 'Afghanistan' to the current territory was the design of the British imperialists and a part of their plans to keep the area weak and divided. So - not only is name inappropriate for the unity of the land - but it is a continuing symbol of foreign rule in our area.

'Khorasan' is a non tribal and non ethnic name - and is the true native name of that land. It is not the creation of our enemies - as is the current term of 'Afghanistan'. It will re-connect our people to the history of our land - and be a firm basis for inclusiveness of all peoples as equal citizens of an entity which their forefathers were a part of and fought for.

'Mellat e Khorasan' = Pars (Tajik) + Pashtun + Hazara + Uzbek + Turkman + Nuristani + Baluchi + Pashaie + others.

The Parsi language should be the only official language of the territory if we are going to have a unity which practicable. The Parsi language is not the just property of the Pars people - it is the property of all the people of that land and its influence has been great on all of the peoples of that area. It is the historical application- cultural sophistication - subject content to educate all of the peoples of that area effectively and to compete with the international language of the world - like English - whereas the other languages have no real chance to deliver.

The current program to weaken the position of Parsi as the inter-ethnic language - or lingua franca of the different peoples of that land - and to replace it eventually with Pashto - by  giving backing to the promotion of all languages of Afghanistan is a hugely damaging endeavor and another symptom of the tribal concept of 'Afghanistan'. It was a policy first proposed by the followers of the USSR - reflecting the nationalities policy of the soviets - whom replaced the Persian inter ethnic and official language of Central Asia with Russian. Only in Iran is the role of Persian as the inter-ethnic and main official language secure and a glue of their unity - currently.

So - in addition to the restoration of the real name of the land - that of Khorasan - it is also a required necessity to make Persian as the single main official language of the land - in order to unify the people and build a healthy political environment for the development of the peoples within that land.

In addition to all of that: there should be no changes to the borders. The false claims by the government in Kabul upon the western territories of Pakistan should be dropped and the Durrand lined should be acknowledged as the official border of that land. This will be a great step towards mending relations with Pakistan and giving them the sense of security that they can then give us a secure way to their sea coast - and also they will have the opportunity to move towards a civilian dominated political environment and a move away from the military domination and its ill intent towards us in Afghanistan.

An official acknowledgment of the official border will not mean that the people whom are divided along the border are going to be harmed in any way - it will actually provided the basis for discussing having a more open border - but without making claims on each others territory. That would be the best for the people whom straddle the land on with side - (but then again it has never been about the people on either side of the border - they have have just been used and abused in all of this).

I whole heartily agree with all his proposals.

It will also make the regional ties with Iran and Tajikistan much better and easier -as long as their is no questioning of the current borders. A healthy Afghanistan - Khorasan will be the impetus for creating a better environment for the whole region - and will restore the status of Persian as the official language of the whole region.

The enemies of our peoples and of our independence and sovereignty will do their very best to oppose these great proposals and ideas.

What did Pashtuns do for Afghanistan? When did they fight for the country? I can´t remember any situation. Hope you can help me in this regard.

The Pashtuns in Kabul are crazy and has lost their minds. They won´t understand that Pakhtunwa was always part of India and today it is still part of Pakistan, an islamized indian world. The Pakistani Pashtuns are proud of their country - Pakistan. Why should they unite themself with a damaged country that have nothing to offer for them? That they are proud Pakistanis they had already proved it in 1974 when the Pakistan´s Pashtun president sent Hekmatyar to Kabul for bombing the city (600 bombs in only one day). Pakhtunwa will always be part of Pakistan and noone can change it. These Pashtuns act as they had ruled over Pakhtunwa for centuries. Pakhtunwa and all Pashtun areas were always part of foreign powers. The only periode they ruled over that large area was during Ahmad Khan Abdali till the time of Muhammad Shuja. Before Pakhtunwa fell back in the hand of ''Kabuli Pashtuns'' pigs will by eaten by Muslims and elephants will fly.

And these enemies will be the first who will be part of the losers. I guess, in future the ethnic conflicts will look differerent than today. While Non-Pashtuns will enjoy support from outside Pashtuns will suffer more than today. They have noone more, except themself and their worse Kuchi life.

This thread should become a sticky - on the top of the forum. It is a good message that cannot be repeated enough.
