This thread is dedicated to all things Shahnamah.

Dorood Ahhangar-e gerami,
Thanks for sharing. I have listened and it's informative on how to read Shahnameh. But I also have one question. Do you know is there any online Shahnameh? Like "Listen Shahnameh online" or something to that nature? I have been looking for it for months, digging into Persian sites but no luck so far. So, if you or anybody knows where we can have access to listening Shahnameh online, that would be great!
Ba seepas,
Pors.

'Listen to Shahnamah Online'. That would be great - and I am sure it must exist somewhere. I will look for it.

Dorood bar PORS:
Here is parts of Shahnameh in English:
http://www.fullbooks...rising-The.html
Here is a youtube video (Part 1 only):
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=J-7HX04UcFo
My grandmother (Afshar supposedly Turkic ... but more nationalist than all other sp-called Persian Iranians
) used to read Shahnameh for us (me, my cousins) whenever we went to their home. She loved especially the chapter of Shahnameh ... which I forgot ... but I remember it had to to with "Ashkboos" as one of the heroes of that part of Shahnameh (sorry my memory fails me at this moment, I will repost when I remember).
D But I also have one question. Do you know is there any online Shahnameh?
Nader Shah-jan,
Thank you very much for the links. Shah Nameh by Morshed Mehregan was okay, although I would prefer somebody could read it out loud and emotionally. It should be the best audio book (Shahnameh) available online for people to listen. I know http://www.sattor.com (Shahnameh online: http://sattor.com/pe...n/shohnoma.html) but the narrator should work on his voice and tone which I think is significant. But maybe somebody will be able to find it in some other Persian websites and share it with us.
As for your grandmother, I would like to say only one thing. I SALUTE her for reading Shahnameh for you and your cousins. I think the spirit of "Shahnamehkhani" should be revived in all Persian speaking families. It's source of pride for all of us. I hope you enjoyed listening to Shahnameh from your grandmother and hope you will pass it to others as well.
Thank You.
Pors.

Dorud Manizheh,
Thanks for the link. I have seen that website before, and I think it's really condensed version of Shahnameh. Cartoons are nice for kids, but still can be better. Anyways, I am actually looking for "Listen to Shahnameh online" or things to that nature. Do you know any online Shahnameh that we can listen to? I know one and I have posted the link for the website, but I don't think narrator did a great job. Anyhow, it was a good try.
