I agree and support every word of jinaab Sufizada Punjsheri's manifesto except when it comes to the percentage of the noble Tajik nation of Afghanistan. Based on common Tajik conviction and consensus, the figure is much higher than what he has characterized. It is well in the area of 48-52% of the total population. To rightfully represent Tajiks of Afghanistan, one must be extremely cautious about facts, and their census should not be based on non-tajik constituted figures.
Apart from this, which is by the way of vital importance to Tajiks, Jinaab Sufizada Punjsheri has done something that needed to be done years ago, with added emphasis on the years immediately after the collapse of the Taliban regime.
However, it's never too late. As Tajiks, we do need a formal registration and representation of our ethnic group, and a front to fight soley for the Tajik rights in the country. This is a great and long due patriotic initiative and I fully support it.
