Politicians Argue Over Language of Schooling in Kabul
A plan for Pashto-language schools in Kabul reveals deep rifts in Afghan society.
Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR)
By Wahidullah Amani in Kabul (ARR No. 274, 21-Nov-07)
National unity has always been a difficult concept in Afghanistan, a country with a bewildering array of ethnic and tribal groups, and language often serves as the lightening rod for controversy. The issue recently resurfaced with a government plan to dramatically increase the number of Pashto-language schools in Kabul, the predominantly Dari-speaking capital.
While some politicians applauded the education ministry

I think, it is positive information for us. It is better if afghans (pukhtun's) teach their children in their own language. It is harmful to them. It is not possible to learn in language on which there are no scientific books (in this language even communicate is hardly, than to study sciences). They so will degrade more. It is not necessary to learn them and to do of them intellectuals. Let they with their language to hold a distance.
By the way, how many Tajiks and how many Afghans live in Kabul?

more than 60% are Tajiks, some 20% Hazara and Usbeks together and also nearly 20% Pashtuns. Let Pashtuns fall into their own tribalic and talibani culture so they can destroy and enslave themself. Talibans are even against their own intellectuals except Afghanmellat and Afghan Nation Party.

There are no Uzbeks in Kabul. 50-55% of Kabul is Tajik and and we have a big hazara population. 85% of Kabul are Persian speakers even the Pashtuns in Kabul speak Persian rather than Pashto.
