One is in Persian which is updated frequently and the other is in Persian (Cyrillic). Additionally, the English page is still running and has a vast amount of information on Tajiks and Persians.

2010 Asian Games ended on 27 November. These Asian Games were the best ever for Persian speaking nations. Iran's performance was the best in post-Revolution period, Afghanistan and Tajikistan's performance were also good. Iran ranked 4th in the medal tally with 20 Gold, 14 Silver and 25 bronze, Tajikistan finished 28th with 1 Gold and 3 Bronze, Afghanistan finished 31st with 2 Silver and 1 Bronze.

Ever since independence of Tajikistan in 1991 and fall of Taliban in 2001, there has been cooperation between the three persian speaking nations in almost everything apart from sport! By that I mean there have been cooperation in trade, technology, transport, education, health and culture.

My question is why there's no cooperation in sports? Why Afghanistani sportmen/women do not join sporting teams from Iran and Tajikistan or I should say why Iran/Tajikistan sport teams do not recruit Afghanistani nationals? Imagine Afghanistani nationals playing football or wrestling or weightlifting, etc in Iranian/Tajikistani Leagues. The strong leagues of Iran and Tajikistan can help Afghanistani nationals with better training, challenges and in the future can enhance performance for national sport teams of Afghanistan whether it's football, wrestling, weightlifting, etc.

Afghanistan can also help out Iran and Tajikistan. Afghanistan won a silver medal in cricket in the Asian Games. Afghanistan cricket team can share knowledge and experience with Iran and Tajikistan and help the two with improvement in that sport.

The best result I know is the AFC Champions League - ie top rated clubs for best countries in Asia competing - where Iranian club Zobahan from Esfahan reached the final and was beaten by the Koreans ... silver. Otherwise, pretty disappointing as far as I know ... In the 70s, Iran was on top in Asia .. consistently. Now it is Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia usually ahead of Iran's national team.
