One is in Persian which is updated frequently and the other is in Persian (Cyrillic). Additionally, the English page is still running and has a vast amount of information on Tajiks and Persians.

Guys, look at this website, they have put farsi in Tajikisan and Uzbekistan to zero and a very tiny proportion in Afghanistan according to their Map.

http://www.farsinet.com/farsi/

in one iranian encyclopedia i saw, they regarded Dari a language composed of persian, urdu, arabic and english, they need to give us support instead of spreading wrong information, knowingly or unknowingly.

Rostam jan, i will definately contact them and make them aware of their stupidity. if they are doing this to us whom we regard as our brothers, then what can we expect from Nadire Ghadar family, Dawod, Khoram and Wa Ghaira.

You are right Rika gerami! And remember every step you take and every suffer and time you spend! You dont do it for your personal aims!
You do it for...all Tajiks and for the sake of our history and justice! :)

doorod dostan,

i have to say that this map is not entirely accurate because the Gilackis and mazandaranis ( they live along the coast of the caspian sea) speak DIALECTS of farsi and the newer generation speak ONLY farsi. the Lurs ( they live along the Karun river in the zagros mountains) also speak a dialect of farsi.

with all of these regional languages only the older generations speak their own dialects and the newer generations speak only farsi

for example, i am part Gilaki but i only speak farsi. ( Either way, Gilaki is mutally intelligble with Farsi)

farsinet is a christian propaganda site aimed at iranians and afghans, no one really visits their site, so it's not that important - but they should definitely be warned about posting false information ... I think that the map reflects their wishful thinking: they would like to wipe us out

Bukhara and Samarkand aren't the only Persian speaking regions in uzbekistan. most of southern Uzbekistan are Persian speaking.
