Wikipedia needs Tajiks. Why? Because Wikipedia is one of the greatest modern online encyclopedia that we have. It won several times many awards and we as Tajiks can use it for our own goals. Wikipedia is a blessing for us we only need to know how to use it. Let´s collect some Tajiks (maybe some 10-20) who are able to write correct and neutral articles and share informations about us, about our history, culture, language, identity with the world so they can have first views from us and can join us. Awghans use it, Arabs use it, Turks use it...all those nationalistic and criminal nations..and they change facts. Wikipedia is also like a battlefield of knowledge and education...so take part of it and help your nation, the Persian-Speakers of Hazaras and Tajiks to get a voice there!
You do not need to have a special age, you do not need to speak a language 100% perfect, you don´t need to be a believer or an atheist or whatever...what you need is knowledge and courage. So go on the main-page, create an account and help Tajiks with their fights against Aweghans, Turks and Arabs.

lol lol.....I used to CORRECT many times on wikipedia...for example the article about Khaled Hosseini, the Hosseini family were in Herat good relatives to my father....he can be considerd as family......so while I am close to that guy...still other afghans...think they know better. lol
I think...even if there come tomorrow an article about Rostam or Parsistani....and even if we will CORRECT it personally....still some...will change it again...and claim they know better than us.

Salam/Dorood,
Dear Parsistani,
The call for Tajik contribution in Wikipedia is by all measures a very timely call. If Tajiks themselves do not enrich wikipedia with accurate information about their history and culture, wikipedia will surely be furnished with questionable and even biased information by non-Tajik contributors.
Today, wikipedia seems to be the most commonly used source for not only general knowledge but also a great deal of academic research, projects, and presentations. It might be true that wikipedia may not appear as a credible source in the citation section of academic works, but it does leave a distinctive mark in the formation of the opinions and conclusions of those impartial users who will view its contents. Exploiting the anonymity benefit of wikipedia, those who are hostile to us routinely inundate wikipedia with disinformation about us. Once that false information appears in reputable sources, they then apply it in their papers or journals by referencing that reputable source as a rather valid citation with the intention of weakening and disparaging us. The ethno-supremacist Pashtons are busy doing just this.
To sum up, I strongly believe that should Tajiks not provide accurate information concerning subjects that relate to them, wikipedia will be furnished with disinformation about them, which will in turn negatively impact not just the impartial non-Tajik researches but also our own naive and young Tajiks. Therefore, it is the moral and intellectual obligation of our Tajik scholars, men and women, to reveal the facts surrounding our culture and identity and to actively and regularly enrich wikipedia with sound literature that boosts Tajik international recognition and true Tajik culture and heritage.
