Gul agha Icon : (03 May 2013 - 04:29 PM) Sohrab, Tajikam doesn't only consist of a forum. We have two major sections in this website. One is in Persian which is updated frequently and the other is in Persian (Cyrillic). Additionally, the English page is still running and has a vast amount of information on Tajiks and Persians.

All of today's scientific assumptions are made up over the course of centuries and hold no water. A simple explanation debunks all scientific theories and replaces them with the final theory - see book summary:

http://www.thefinalt...ooksummary.html

So, it is claimed. I read the first chapter - this guy is thinking totally out of the box and questions all of our century old conditionings, and I am convinced totally of how brainwashed we have become. I have yet to understand his simple explanation ... I am reading the summary now and ordered the book .... through Amazon. Even if his theory is wrong, he is so fresh in his thinking, that one cannot be amazed at the stupidity of scientists and students in school and university who seldom question these assumptions and if they do are often punished or ridiculed...

to be continues

I read bits and pieces of the book - which just arrived yesterday - and it is really quite a fantastic piece of out-of-box thinking. He says (rightly so, I think) that energy, electric charge, mass, and all the various forces including gravity are "erroneous" abstractions arising from mathematical models manipulated from Newton's time and to which more abstractions were added without questioning basic assumptions. He even says that those abstractions themselves result in contradictions - for example, how can a mysterious gravitational force act instantaneously anywhere in the universe if it is physical (i.e., limited by the speed of light), and what is its power source ?

According to his expansion theory - which is very embryonic but quite convincing in its general outline - matter is not inert or passive, but is constantly growing in size. Atoms are constantly expanding in size, in all directions: it sounds outrageous, but no one thinks the expansion of the universe, according to the big bang theory, is outrageous - so why would not matter itself not expand ?

According to this basic premise, gravity is not caused by spooky action at a distance (with no known physical mediation except a hypothesized graviton for which no evidence exists), but by the constant expansion of matter. When you "drop" an object ... it actually is free floating in space ... but the earth keeps expanding to fill the empty space between the object contact. Gravity, in expansion theory, is not a function of the so-called "mass" but of the respective sizes of the object.

Why do we not notice expansion ? Because everything including ourselves (the atoms in our body) are expanding at the same rate. Therefore, there is no way for us to observe directly the expansion, except through its indirect effects on us, since relatively speaking there is no expansion observed.

Basically, if you want to visualize it, it is like an elevator moving upwards, it keeps pushing you up, and you can jump but it will always catch up with you.

Even though this "expansion" assumption seems outlandish, it does get rid of the need to postulate imaginary force fields with spooky action at a distance and no evidence to prove it. There is no force required, just expansion as a basic premise of the process undergone by the atoms in the universe.

In fact, the author goes even further, and he claims that there are only electrons in the universe. Everything else is made of electrons, including the protons, neutrons, light, EM waves, heat, and so on.

He goes on to nitpick on all the holes and contradictions in current physics theories (including dual particle wave duality, singularity of the black hole, and the list is much longer) and claims that his theory does not result in such contradictions and explains why the current theories cause them.

The book is a great read for someone who wants to look at everything from a fresh perspective and challenge themselves to think anew. I think it may have some core of truth, although its claim as a final theory is too extragavant for anyone's taste. It seems to have hit it on the nail: no need for a weird force, it is all caused by electrons expanding until they hit you, that is gravity. It may not explain much more than gravity, but the author certainly gives the impression that it goes way beyond gravity.

The book itself contains a lot of pictures and very few equations. For a layman interested in physics, it is quite a good read ... but it is challenging to visualize and imagine some of those thought experiments.
