Gul agha Icon : (03 May 2013 - 04:29 PM) Sohrab, Tajikam doesn't only consist of a forum. We have two major sections in this website. One is in Persian which is updated frequently and the other is in Persian (Cyrillic). Additionally, the English page is still running and has a vast amount of information on Tajiks and Persians.

my grandfather has so many of those

the female has is similar but more colorful...and if youre a newlywed...or a bride to be...or at the age of marriage or if its a special occasion such as Navrooz you wear a bright gold or silver one with a tassel ...like the one in my avi:)

I think this is a Tajik hat from Afghanistan. Definitely not a special occasion, lol.

I see a lot of Uzbeks where them too. They look the same to me unless someone can tell me the difference?

That's a Tajik hat. Among many other borrowings by Uzbeks, of course.

Real Turkic hats could be found among Kazakhs and Kyrgyz.
