Sherali Jurayev - a fine artist - sings in Uzbeki, but one can easily tell this is so close to Persian music:

Even the so-called Turkic speakers are very much Persian in culture.

A great Persian composer who was born in Samaqand, Aminollah (aka Andre) Hossein, whose son Robert Hossein is a famous French actor:

http://en.wikipedia..../André_Hossein

André Hossein, born Aminoullah Husseinoff (Persian: امين الله حسين; Russian: Аминулла Гусейнов; 1905, Samarkand – 9 August 1983, Paris) was a celebrated Iranian/French composer of Neo-Romantic music and a tar soloist of Persian-Azerbaijani descent.[1]
His mother was a Tajik woman from Samarkand (present-day Uzbekistan) and his father was an Azerbaijani merchant, originally from the Caucasus. Aminollah Hossein lived for a few years in Persia (Iran) before he left the country for his academic studies.

Here is a performance by young Iranian-American pianist Tara Kamangar of one of his piano concertos:

And from his famous Persian miniature performed by a Persian ensemble (original was made for large Western orchestra):

Aminollah Hossein is the greatest composer of Western classical music in the Persian style in the 20th century.
